We are super excited to offer this exceptional coffee from Peru. Boasting flavors of white grape & orange zest with a roasted pecan finish, you’re going to love this from the first sip to the last. We were able to participate in an initiative with our importing partner – Red Fox – who donated 10c per pound of green coffee to assist in providing staple goods and cleaning supplies to coffee farmers throughout Peru. As a small company, we’re not always always able to do more for the farmers that produce our coffees, so this opportunity was a no-brainer!
Perfect for Drip or French-Press – Medium-Light Roast
All orders will be roasted fresh and shipped on Tuesdays. We will accept orders until noon on Tuesdays.
More about this producer (via Red Fox Coffee Importers):
“Bringing experience from his work at Santuario, leader Eric Jarra, along with 25 producers from Barro Negro, began Alpes Andino on January 27th 2019 and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this group. Working in Huabal and La Coipa (similarly to Santuario), Eric has a long history of integrity and a priority of ensuring farmers receive a fair wage. While we’re just getting going with Alpes Andino, we expect the quality to be exemplary of what Huabal and La Coipa have to offer, and we’ve already seen Eric’s investment in fairness and equitability start to pay off in the cup.
Total partner membership has reached 150 producers The organization focuses on providing workshops around quality improvement, but there have been some setbacks as the weather patterns have changed, drying of parchment has been challenging. Each producer has their own beneficio and solar dryer. Parchment is measured to 11% water content before sent to the dry mill in Chiclayo.”
